Life during the Korea under Japanese rule

Be born in a place it hit, a few years before it began, and see what it did to five ordinary lives.

What it meant for ordinary people

Japan annexed Korea in 1910. A colonial land survey transferred much farmland to Japanese companies and settlers, rice was shipped to Japan, and protest was suppressed by military police. Many poor farmers left for Manchuria or Japan.

How hard it hits each person in the game (risk of death, of being conscripted, of leaving) comes from our model, estimated from the sources.
